Imbibition oil recovery of single fracture-controlled matrix unit: Model construction and numerical simulation

The fracture-controlled matrix unit is commonly found in low-permeability fractured reservoirs. Due to the permeability difference between fracture system and system, a large amount of oil will remain during traditional water injection development, thus limiting reservoir productivity. However, special imbibition mode provides breakthrough for secondary recovery. In this paper, based on model single unit, dynamic production process studied by numerical simulation method. carried out two-point well using method huff puff injection. results show that main mechanism middle late stages recovery from absorbed into capillary force replaced; way, can increase rate 20%. findings provide basis further study imbibition.
